Education Specialist
The Education Specialist must be committed to assisting with improving teaching practices through collaboration with teachers, other managers and staff, community members, and students. The ideal Education Specialist candidate should be able to use new and existing resources to ensure Early Head Start students needs are met, and educational goals are achieved. The Education Specialist are required to visit the centers they are assigned weekly or bi-weekly as needed to meet the needs of the program. Therefore, the position requires either a valid driver’s license or other alternative forms of transportation which can be used to travel as needed.
As a general requirement, applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development (CD) or an equivalent (18 ECE or CD credits).
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week; Monday – Friday; 52 Weeks Per Year.
Location: Out stationed or Stationed locally depending on where the employee lives within the geographic area covered by the Pennsylvania CCP program. Pennsylvania CCP program currently operates in the following counties in PA: Chester, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Berks, Lancaster, Lebanon, Erie and Venango.
